Welcome to Reference Section

Welcome to the Reference Section of the Library which is currently headed by Dr. Mrs Justina N. Ekere. This section serves as a one-stop point for all our clients, in that we offer answers to your reference questions. That is why it is globally recognised, that the reference section is the first port of call in the library. We have various materials which will enable you conduct your research. These materials are not meant to be read from cover to cover, but be referred to, for basic concepts. 
For example, we have the dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, handbooks, etc. When you visit this section, we encourage you to make your request in a sheet of paper using this format: 

WHAT WE OFFER
  1. We provide assistance or instruction in the use of basic reference sources.
  2. We provide online  services.
  3. We assist our patrons in identifying library materials needed to answer a question.
  4. We provide brief and factual answers to questions that can be quickly located.
  5. We also make referrals to institutions which have materials this library lacks.
  6. We keep statistics of usage of reference materials.
  7. We render information literacy programmes for to users.
